WEDNESDAY
PRE SHAVE: QED Bentonite Clay facial soap
SHAVE SOAP: Valobra hard puck, Cologne
SHAVE BRUSH: Somerset Simpson Duke 2 Best
RAZOR/BLADE: Cobra Classic with Kai blade (?)
POST SHAVE: Crystal alum deo stick as astringent .... Rite Aid knockoff of AV Iced Blue .... Clinique Skin Supplies for Men Post Shave Healer
Well, let's be honest: the Cobra Classic razor frightens me.. a lot. But, it still gave me a fine DFS+ shave in my standard 2 1/2 passes, with
one tiny nick. My first shave with the Cobra in at least 2 months and my technique was slow and steady... yes, VERY cautious.
Normally any product with menthol turns me off: the scent always strikes me as medicinal...memories of Vicks Vapo Rub spread on my chest
to "cure" those nasty cold symptoms. But he Rite Aid/AV aftershave was certainly just fine for what it was; the touch of glycerin in it is a bit
different for me compared to my Clubman A/S and Clubman Eau de Portugal Tonic (the latter is reputed to contain glycerin but I can't read
the ingredient list to confirm or deny). But the Rite Aid product contains enough glycerin to be obvious... just a tad "tacky."
Overall, very pleased with today's shave!
Enjoying wet shaving, again.
