-- Monday--

Prep: hot water wash with bath soap
Razor: 1922 Gillette Big Fellow with New Improved head
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (5)
Brush: SOC 2012 SE
Soap: Cella
Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery G5 in Hamada glaze (used as brush scuttle)
Post: Thai Crystal deodorant alum stick and Thayers's witch hazel

Result: BBS in 3+ passes. Great shave. I am very happy with my new favorite DE, the 1922 Gillette Big Fellow. I've had it for a while and always liked it. I try to use the same razor for a prolonged period of time so as to get to know it. This time around the Big Fellow is treating me better than the last time I used it. It is now my go-to DE.

Monday night; last night's razor was the Filarmonica 14, second shave since I redid the edge a month or so ago. Decided to go a second shave in a row with it, so I changed up my stropping regimen, went with the back followed by the front of the Illinois 827, followed up on the back followed by the front on the very old Martin Rubin strop. Used the Brothers' Cedarwood soap. The Edwin Jagger Silver Tip Synthetic XL brush is excellent. I like these big synthetics. Ended up with an alum block, followed by dab of 444 ASB and a larger dap of Cade ASB. Nice shave, but a bit raw.

Merkur HD
Gillette 7o'clock yellow
Shavemac D01 24mm knot
Nivea shaving cream

I really enjoyed the quality of the lather and the easiness of the shave! Btw the cream only costs 1.8 euros!
