Thursday Night:

Razor: Feather MR3 handle
Blade: Feather Neo FII twin-blade cartridge

Brush: None
Soap: Oliveology ShaveGel

Aftershave: AoS Ocean Kelp ASL

I haven't really been comfortable with the cartridge razor with lather, so tonight I tried Oliveology gel, which is basically just a very thin lubricating layer. I think I liked this combination a little better.

I'm noticing that I don't care much for the low pivot of this cartridge system. It isn't clear at the bottom of the cartridge like a Mach 3 or Fusion, but I prefer the center pivot of the Schick Tracer and Gillette Atra/Contour.

FRIDAY A.M.
PRE SHAVE: MWFM liquid Hand Soap
SHAVE SOAP: AoS Tallow, Unscented
SHAVE BRUSH: boar set in custom handle
RAZOR/BLADE: Feather M3 Neo with 3-blade feather cartridge (2)
POST SHAVE: Thai crystal deo stick as after-shave astringent ... Mennen Skin Bracer ... Clinique for Men Post-Shave Soother
Fine DFS+ shave in just 2 passes, plus some buffing. Unlike Murray, I find the Neo 3-blade cartridge with a great shave soap lather
(that wonderful AoS tallow soap) very comfortable. But, I used the 3-blade cartridge with the pivot function disabled; somewhat
like a Trac II(I), so to speak. I have never, to my recollection, used the Mach 3, so no comparisons to that much-maligned device.
My complaint so far is that the 3-blade cart is a bit large to shave the upper lift easily, but a XTG pass or two it can be managed.
Just two M3 Neo shaves have left me VERY impressed. Will follow Brothers/Gary's exploits with renewed interest.
Enjoying wet shaving, again.

Saturday: Darn, we're leaving to go back to Montreal Monday morning.

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash
Large Horsehair Barbershop
Super Speed/Sharp day 6
Ingram Blue SC
444 AS Balm
Mennen Skin Bracer AS

A great menthol set-up which is guaranteed to keep a man feeling cool and comfortable in this heat down here in Guadeloupe. The Ingram Blue cream from Egypt as I've said before is definitely colder than the British version, with the same scent and rich lather and the 444 balm not only freezes your face - it also moisturizes so well. The Skin Bracer has that wonderful old-school scent which I love so much (and which my wife hates so much!) with a powerful menthol punch. My Sharp blade cleaned me up very, very well this morning but it's getting a bit tired. I think I can coax at least one more shave out of it tomorrow. Now, down to the restaurant for a nice breakfast and then some fun at the beach and the pool bar!
