AM Friday the 13th!

Georgetown Pottery G20 scuttle
Rooney 3/2 faux ebony Finest (24mm/54mm)
Trumper's Coconut Oil shaving soap (vintage)
Weber PH Bulldog
Wilkinson Light Brigade (4)
Armani Acqu di Giò aftershave balm

OK, the polished head may not be quite as smooth as the DLC, but it certainly is useable for me. However, although I am glad I got to use it, I think it is redundant now. So off to BST it will go.

-- Friday, June 13--

Prep: hot water wash with bath soap
Razor: Solace 5/8" and 1922 Gillette Big Fellow New Improved
Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock Sharp Edge (yellow) (5)
Brush: My new creation with TGN two band finest
Soap: Petal Pusher Fancies Oak-moss Sage
Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery G5 in Hamada glaze (used as brush scuttle)
Post: Thai Crystal deodorant alum stick and Thayers's witch hazel

Image

Result: BBS in 3+ passes. I used my straight razor for the first pass. I think I am getting better at it, but it still felt like a huge relief to go back to my trusty DE for the rest of the shave. I will get there eventually...

PPF Oak-moss Sage is an amazing scent. Not very strong, but very delightful. Reminds me of Cape Cod for some reason. These soaps are extremely fatty and the skn care they provide is superb.

Saturday:

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash
Large Horsehair Barbershop
Super Speed/Sharp day 6
Stirling Glacial Wintergreen SS
Gillette Series Intense Cooling AS Balm
Osage Rub AS
Aramis EdT

I never thought I'd ever say this, but something tells me I might have to consider giving away all my other soaps and creams because I feel like I'm neglecting them too much - these darned Stirling soaps have practically taken over my rotation, and the more I use them the more I love them. The Glacial Wintergreen gave me everything I want in a soap - such a nice and invigorating scent, great lather, lots of skincare, and best of all a menthol effect which makes your face feel like it's coming off. By the time I finished the first pass my eyes were tearing and my nose was running, and the second pass felt ten times colder. The Gillette balm was very soothing and chilly as well. The Rubby Dubby Doo was so cold that even now I can still feel the tingling from it. This was such a heavenly shave.
