-- Monday, June 9--

Prep: hot water wash with bath soap
Razor: RazoRock OC head on the Ikon Bulldog handle
Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock Sharp Edge (yellow) (3)
Brush: B&B Essentials Omega boar
Soap: Cella
Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery G5 in Hamada glaze (used as brush scuttle)
Post: Thai Crystal deodorant alum stick and Thayers's witch hazel

Result: BBS in 3+ passes. Great shave. I have not used the RR OC head in a while and it's a great shaver. I really love the combination of that with an Ikon handle. Works great and very close shave.

Tuesday:

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash
#6 Horsehair
Super Speed/Sharp day 2
Ingram Blue SC
444 AS Balm
Barbon AS
Aramis EdT

My #6 horsehair brush is an awesome lathermaker for creams - it really whipped up some serious lather from the Ingram Blue cream from Egypt which is terrific stuff. It has a stronger menthol effect than the original British version and has a perfect consistency, so it doesn't become watery and runny. The 444 balm and the Barbon aftershave couldn't have felt better after this lovely shave.

Tuesday AM 06-10-2014

Moss Slate Anniversary scuttle, used as a brush rest
Rudy Vey real ivory Chubby 1 D01 2-Band (23/47)
Palmolive shaving soap stick (vintage)
Weber PH Bulldog
Wilkinson Light Brigade (1)
Crabtree & Evelyn Moroccan Myrrh aftershave balm

For some reason lather collected a lot under the blade, and I had to disassemble the razor head briefly to rinse it out between passes. I don't know if this is common with the PH or just a result of this particular combination of razor, blade, and soap.

Tuesday morning:

Neutrogena Sensitive brushless cream
Schick Hydro 5
Aqua Velva Ice Blue A/S

Had an early dental appointment this morning so a quick shave with the Hydro 5. Really not a bad shave.
Best regards,

Basil
