Back to cold water shaving after a couple month experiment with warm water shaves. Thanks to a skincare regimen change I can now enjoy a good warm water shave with good results. However, this first cold shave immediately reveals how much closer I can get with less effort.

This has been my favorite soap/after shave combination for many years and this shave just reminds me why these are two of my all time favorites.

Warm water wash
WSP Rustic Shaving Soap-Barbershop
SR2122 best badger brush
HTGAM Symmetry OC razor
Treet Black Beauty blade
Barbasol Pacific Rush A/S

My first shave with the new WSP soap. I loaded for 30 seconds, then bowl lathered and it built a very nice lather very quickly. If I were to compare the lather and performance to another soap, it would be Tabac. I think that is pretty high praise. I can't comment on scent because I have a cold and can't smell a darn thing!

I still love the AV scent so I was surprised when I applied it that I actually missed the lovely herbal smell from the Myrsol I've used lately. Ravi, I guess you got me hooked.
