Slick! Not a great term for a business man or woman but an excellent property for a shave soap. One of my best shaves lately!

Filarmonica Sub Cero 14, 8/8 Full Hollow, Square Point

Filarmonica is always impeccable on every aspect, a comfortable and close shave with a remarkable result. I love large blades and this Sub Cero certainly is one of my favorite ones, not to mention, José Monserrat Pou's straight razors are among my favorites too.

Shavemac 2-Band Silvertip*
Homemade Lavender-Lime ss
EJ Barley Chrome DE razor
Personna Lab Prep blade day 3
Thayer's aftershave
C.O. Bigelow Elixir White

*This is the new 2-band silvertip, not the 2-band D01. It is very interesting hair, stiff-shafted and soft-tipped. However, five shaves in, I am not sold on the brush. It seems to lack flow-through for my tastes and hogs lather a bit. It is a very good brush, though, and one I would think most wetshavers would find hits the sweet spot of scrub without scritch. Nevertheless, given the price, it is not for me. Back to the synthetic tomorrow, I think, but there are a couple of other possibilities on the horizon.
Regards,
Tim

Razor - Louis French SE
Blade - GEM
Soap - Wickham SS Imperial Tonic
Brush - Simpsons Wee Scot Badger
EDC - No. 4711

Bit of a French theme tonight as I was trying out the French SE razor using the GEM blade in place of the proprietary wedge blade. The shave was extremely close, so much so that I nicked myself twice but that said I don't feel much irritation, so it's not as aggressive as I thought it might be.

Though not French I have not worn the 4711 for sometime and it makes for a pleasant change.

Enjoy your evening/day Gents! :D
