Wednesday:

L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash
Large Horsehair Barbershop
Super Speed/7 AM day 2
Palmindaya SC
Gold Bond Moisturizer
Mennen Skin Bracer AS

Today I was in the mood for a Brazilian barbershop-style shave so I decided to lather up with the Palmindaya cream which I received on Monday from a gentleman here who I traded with. This cream has such a nice scent which reminds me of Noxzema, and the lather's a pleasure to work with. There's also a good cooling effect which feels great. The Gold Bond moisturizer gave me super-duper additional cooling and the Skin Bracer finalized the deal. Mission accomplished - a terrific BBS result!

Mastro Livi Grifetto

I am enjoying my Mastro Livi Grifetto shave after shave and I love it! It seems it is getting even better at each new shave and this is of course making me even happier for having bought it. Being an affordable razor, when compared to a whole artisan one made by Mastro Livi, it gives Grifetto an even more attractive chance to get it, nevertheless, with the usual quality delivered by Mastro Livi on each of his straight razors.

Cookies & a bonfire?

Image

Mongoose B1 (87)
Dub Slim B1 (15)
Feather Professional (26)
Plisson Pearly Gray Synth
Barrister & Mann - Dickens (1)
Country Club - Southern Oud

Combining Dickens with Southern Oud made me feel like I was enjoying a crisp winter evening by the bonfire eating some delectable cookies.

Great performance from my first tallow & lanolin B&M soap. The only difference I could tell in use was that it needs more water to get the slickness I like compared to the non-tallow formula. I wasn't quite there on my first pass, but the second pass was perfect. Post shave feel isn't that much different either. Perhaps my skin feels a little more supple. I'm just thrilled that it didn't make my oily skin feel greasy or tacky. Only downside now is that I have a lot more options to consider when I'm looking to get another B&M soap.

These Country Club aftershaves are really nice. Great scents with just a touch of menthol. Added glycerin & allantoin to soothe the skin helps to separate this brand from some of the other barbershop style alcohol based splashes.

Oh yeah, and shave #26 on this blade was still smooth & efficient. I might make it to 30 on this one.
