Mastro Livi Ladder Damasteel, 6/8 Full Hollow, French Point

Yet another impeccable shave. In my opinion, Damasteel is one of the most aggressive steels used by Mastro Livi for the making of his straight razors, and this is something I generally like. Not to mention the pleasure of Floïd aftershave, in my opinion one of the very best around. I also like the fragrance of "The Genuine" - also known as the amber colored Italian Floïd - not just a smell of old barber shops, but also a smell I consider both elegant and fragrant. Last but not the least, the pleasing almond scent of TFS soap, simply reinforcing the idea of an old Italian barber shop.

Result: BBS in 3+ passes. Excellent shave. To my surprise Lord blade on its 5th shave did amazingly well. so well, in fact, that I will attempt shave #6 with it. I have not really been using these blades much and just have a tuck from one of the freebies that came with a purchase I made a while ago. So far I am very pleased with these blades. They are a perfect balance for me between sharpness (not too sharp), smoothness (very smooth) and longevity is simply amazing. I really wanted to use a two band badger brush today and realized that I only have one of these of my own. It's a wonderful travel brush, but I wanted a larger brush today. So, I decided to pull this beauty from my store and make it my own. I absolutely love it! It is an amazing badger brush. I've been using mostly brushes with boar in them (all boar or boar/badger mix) and a change to all-badger really pleased me. Dapper Dragon soap is wonderful. Thank you, Eric for creating it! I highly recommend trying it if you haven't already.

I had to include a picture of a view from my shave nook (bathroom). There has to be over three feet of snow on the ground right now and more coming tomorrow!
