-- Monday, February 16--

Prep: Face wash with bath soap and water
Razor: 1922 Gillette Big Fellow with New Improved head
Blade: Lord Platinum Series (1)
Brush: Vulfix 404 mixed hair knot in a African Ironwood handle of my own design and manufacture
Soap: Dapper Dragon Signature Vegan
Scuttle: None
Post: Thai Crystal deodorant alum stick and Thayers's witch hazel

Image

Result: BBS in 3+ passes. Great shave. Another perfect shave. I am becoming addicted to Dapper Dragon soap. It is extremely slick and soft. A treat for the skin. My mixed hair brush with a Vulfix 404 Grosvernor knot is an absolute joy. I really love the African Ironwood. It is very warm and has a wonderful color to it. The density is on par with resin of not higher. Amazingly beautiful wood.

George Wostenholm & Sons Pipe Razor, 5/8 Half Hollow, Square Point

As a collector and historian of pogonotomy, I love shaving with old straight razors and I like to revive important pages of history, adding art to the pleasure of shaving. Wostenholm certainly is one of the most important straight razor makers of the past, with a glorious history to tell, its razors are still capable of giving a superb shave no matter of a long time has padded by. Just perfect and agile, this bow razor is still doing an excellent job.
