Result: BBS in 3+ passes. Great shave. It has been a while since I shaved with something other than my 1922 Gillette Big Boy NI, but today I picked up my very close second favorite razor. A Frankerazor I have made up a little over a year ago out of FaTip base plate, Hallmark top plate and Bulldog handle. I am really happy about that. It's like a good friend you have not seen in a while. When you meet it's like you never were apart. After almost a year of only using the Gillette, this Frankerazor has done an amazing job at staying antiquated with my technique and hair growth. I guess when you have a good match, it doesn't matter how much time passes. The razor feels very different than the Gillette, more aggressive, different balance and sound. What a great razor this is! I actually thought of selling the razors it came from (FaTip and Hallmark). What was I thinking?! Actually, I think just about any standard top plate with bullets will work with Fatip base plate and a standard handle to create a similar shaver, so go ahead and try it.

Mike's Natural soaps are divine, period. So many soaps around and he still rocks. The Semogue Il Rasoio LE is splendid as is BC Mistura, but I am really enjoying this translucent handle. I am really surprised that more people aren't raving about it. These are some amazing knots, Semogue! Thank you.
