Kent BK4
Tabac soap
B2 Super Speed
Kai blade
This was my first try with the Kai after using my usual 7 O'Clock Yellow for a week. First impressions were that the blade was not as sharp as the Yellow and nowhere as smooth as a Polsilver. It could simply be that I need to learn the blade. Better luck tomorrow.

What a Luxury Shave!
A luxury shave! My pre-shave oil, my almond shaving soap, not to mention this Mastro Livi RWL34 razor and, to put the icing on the top of cake, Floïd the genuine, to me, the very best aftershave. Floïd has a special and refreshing touch, it cools your face like no other, giving a super smooth and velvety sensation on your skin. Not to mention its fragrance, something recalling to my memory when I was a kid and was going to the barber for a hair cut. This fragrance can still be smelt in some "old fashioned" barber shops here in Italy. The more I use my shaving soap, the more I love it and the more I think it is a magnificent shaving soap. I compared it "one to one" to many top notch shaving soaps and, in my opinion, mine is nothing less and in many cases it is even superior to most of them, from lathering to post shave. What else can I say about my Mastro Livi RWL34 straight razor? A superb and extraordinary shaver, a top notch performing razor giving a superior and impeccable shave.

Kai blade, Day 2
Yesterday I said I didn't think they were exceptionally sharp. Wrong. Using Dr. Dittmar soap, slick but less protective than Tabac, I was able to get a close shave with only one pass. There's also a possibility that some of my face went down the drain. Now I'm comparing the Kai blades to Gillette Silver Blues, extremely sharp yet similarly prone to face-removal. No cuts or weepers, just a little too much exfoliation. For the record:
C&E BBB
Dr. Dittmar soap
B2 Super Speed
Kai blade, second day of use

Re: SOTD: November 2, 2015 - November 8, 2015
Ed, I'm not finding that the Kai blades slide through my beard any more effectively than others, but they do seem to abuse my skin more.
Sunday night:
Razor: Mergress (on lowest setting)
Blade: Kai
Brush: Semogue 1305
Soap: Tim's Soap (unscented)
Lather made on top of the soap
