On The Road Again
A new month, a new trip. This time I brought with me this Mastro Livi Double Damascus San Mai razor which I added to my collection almost four years ago. It shaves like the first day: a good run on the loom strop, followed by hand palm stropping and the razor was ready to deliver the best shave. In this shave I also used the shaving products I make at home as a hobby: my pre-shave oil, almond oil shaving soap and bay rum. When I travel I always take with me my shaving products and I like using them all in the same shave as this makes me feel, like to say, at home.

A dismal and forgettable nostalgic experience with my old Norelco triple head electric razor for the first time in 9 years since I quit the electric. It felt as if I hadn't even tried. Made me laugh out loud ---
Looking forward to tomorrow's usual old fashioned wet shave!

Mastro Livi Double Damascus San Mai
Sunday shave in a rainy day. Here in Italy it is raining since many days and clouds high in the sky promising more and more rain. In my monthly trip I brought with me one of the fist Mastro Livi razors I added to my collection, the first san mai damascus the famous artisan from Perugia made for me. I like everything about this razor but I must say the three colors amboyna scales really amaze me. A great match to the gorgeous blade made with two different carbon damascus steels and assembled by using the San Mai technique, therefore obtaining a three layers blade. Not to mention how smooth it is the shave it gives, this time completed with the spicy touch of Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla aftershave.
