I understand what you are saying, notthesharpest. In fact, I think your analogy paints the perfect picture. I just meant that I will have to keep trying.

Currently, I am still using a Mach 3 and getting good shaves. My skin is clear and pain-free. I have attempted to shave with a DE after my weekend off, when there is several days growth. I am getting a nice shave, but I know I am still not doing it right. I am having trouble finding the "sweet spot" where I will easily shave the hair and save my skin. Eventually, I will get it. It is just going to take time.
