Les, Yeah, well...apparently those guys are working over time at being 'manly'...or so that other thread on this shop suggests.

Went to see a play for new years some time ago and saw Shear Madness where the barber pulls out a straight and pulls it back and forth on a strop at approximatly 150mph about five hundred times. Had me almost screaming "too much" then applys the heal of the razor to the guys face, "How is he going to cut anything doing that?" I thought.

Amazing what we notice when we know hoe to do the job right.

Why is he using a disposable blade razor and not a real str8 razor?

Trying w-a-y too hard...maybe it's just me but I tend to filter out those who need "sleeves" and pork pie hats to project a presence.
