Shadow's Dad and JWW, My "go-to" equipment is the Muehle R-89 w/Kai and Razo-Rock or MWF. Omega 049 Boar. I've got the good badger but the boar is just as good and cost 10 bucks!!! 'magine that!!!!! AS is usually West Indies Bay Rum or Aqua Velva Ice Blue. Got a hundred different kinds but those seem to make it to my face the most. Will have to try some of yours soon, Shadow'sDad!!!!!! I am am old yankee myself...used to live in R.I. Worked as a truck driver in Mass. and delivered trailer-loads of liquid propane up to the Pine-tree!!!!!!!! Take care. Semper-fi Mike

You've got good gear, and as you found out with the boar, great gear doesn't need to cost an arm and a leg.
I used an $8 boar today (on sale a few years ago from Italian Barber) and the face feel and shave was every bit as good as any of my top drawer badgers. They feel different, not better or worse.

I figured he did Wendell, and I almost mentioned that. It's difficult to beat MWF, it can be done, but it isn't easy. Excellent shave soap.jww wrote:You had me at MWF.
