My new strop has already 4 little cuts in it.

Is this a problem?

Can I remove these cuts?

It's not usually a problem, but you can smooth
them out with a pumice stone.

If your strop has a nick in it, make sure no part is higher than the level of the rest of the strop. If it is, carefully trim away the damage so that your strop has no bump on it. (A particle missing is OK, but having a piece of the strop sticking up might be a problem.)

(And don't cut your strop.) :(
