The scales are ebony (you wouldn't guess as the black point needs adjusting in his photo). It took about two months from asking to shipping, and Gabor was a pleasure to work with. Does it ever shave nicely too! Superb craftsmanship. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for something special.

The blade is thicker and heavier than an 8/8 Livi or Friodur by far. TZ's quarter hollow 7/8's come close. Balances and shaves beautifully. Looks wise, the only thing to change would be to make the tang longer and thinner.

Both are very beautiful. Have a very similar one on order as this would but with snakewood scales, 8/8 and 1/4 grind. Can't wait... wait... Will post when it eventually gets here.
