Help! I blemished my Dovo

Post by shaveC »

Got a beautiful Dovo for Xmas:
http://www.leesrazors.com/products/Dovo ... Razor.html

Stropped it and set up the bathroom counter for a shave....Got distracted for a few minutes, then showered and when I went to shave, I noticed a few watermarks in the metal that were not there before (someone must have splashed water on it by accident). I rubbed them with a towel to no avail, don't know what to do next...any help?

P.S.- it shaves as good as it looks!

MAAS on a Q-tip should remove the spots, but keep away from the gold because MAAS will take that off also.

Nice razor. No real harm done.

+1 with above advice. A little metal polish will do, but keep it away from the gold etching and keep it away from the shaving edge. The gold holds up well to normal use, but not to metal polish. Likewise, fowling the edge with polish grit and rubbing it off can turn a nice shave into a bad one.
