I still do that sometimes, usually when shaving the left cheek with my left hand and using my right to stretch. I end up with one eye covered and hence no depth perception. One of the hazards of using spike points.

I didn't nick my first ear lobe till about 8 months in.

Ear nicking is for the rank amateur. I find the truly nuanced shaver such as myself will nick the side of his nose instead :lol:

I've done that with a DE but not a Straight yet..

If you're using a straight on your face, what do you use to shave ear hair? (Actually, I wouldn't use a DE there, either. I recommend an injector as the safest non-electric option.)
