Full custom set in Abalone Acrylic

Post by Gssixgun »

This one is all mine, and it has taken a few people to put it all together...

First came the razor, the blade is from my friend Butch Harner, he went though a ton of careful work to hollow it out for me, this a 7/8 Patterned Damacus steel... I took the blade and fashoined some custom Abalone acrylic scales for it...

Much later another friend of mine Will/Griz took a chunk of the acrylic and turned out a "Big n Beefy" brush handle per my specs... I finally found some time this past Sunday to finish the handle up with some Micromesh paper and then put in a 25mm Banded Silvertip knot from the Golden Nib using Marine grade epoxy

This morning I used the whole set together and I am sorry for bragging but there is something about when everything is made exactly like you want it done, the new brush chruns up lather like no bodies business...
And that razor is a "Wizard of Whiskers"
I guess it does sometimes take a village

The "shave of the day" photo inspired me to bid on an Old Spice shaving mug. 8)

Of course it inspired me to want a Harner custom razor with Glen's scales too. Maybe some day!
