I've been looking forward to the straight razor in slot #1 (in the canvas roll). It's the Filly 14. Cool razor with the outstanding and well-earned reputation for taking and holding an edge, and for providing consistently excellent shaves. It feels so good in the hand, heavy and tight. Today was the day, and it didn't disappoint.

Coincidentally, almost 2 months after the above post, I just enjoyed another great shave with the great Filly. It never lets me down. Takes and holds the edge as well as any other. The square point got me this time, no biggie. Just a reminder to be mindful of the challenges one faces in order to experience something rare and beautiful.

Thanks, it's a 22mm Omega knot that I set at about 52 mm or a bit less. It has a way to go before it's broken in.

I didn't get a photo, but this evening's luxury shave was superb, through the courtesy of the sharp and smooth full hollow 13/16 or 7/8 (I can't remember!) Boker King Cutter.

That's a nice razor. Looks like a quarter hollow? Nice size, and I really like the scales. It probably shaves like a dream, right?

Gary, it says either "Extra Hollow Ground" or "Full Hollow Ground" on the blade but I can't read it from the photo. I'll check when I get home. I like Erns and have a couple more, all good shavers.

It probably shaves like a dream, right?

Yes, it's a nice shaving razor.
