My Swedish treasure Heljestrand 42 stainless Viking. This is all I've been looking for in a razor. Heljestrand, quarter hollow, stainless, 6/8, and NOS to boot. There were a few little dings in the edge, showed up on the loupe. Took them out and brought the edge back to new. My first shave was what I wanted it to be. Here she is:

Oh wow, what a beautiful razor. I like the stiffer grinds myself. Gary, congrats and enjoy.

Sunday evening I used my freshly sharpened new razor for the second time, the Swedish made Heljestrand 6/8 stainless Viking. After a good pre-shave stropping it was a pleasure to use. This one was worth the wait, and it'll be a welcome addition to the family.

Following up, this razor is one fine shaving instrument. The more I use it, the better I like it. Holds its edge very well. The results are consistently excellent.
