Glossary of acronyms

Post by teamccloud »

OK, after a few weeks here, I've come across a number of acronyms that I can't figure out. Many I knew because I hang out in other forums, and they remain the same from one place to the other. But others I've been unable to decipher, even in context.

So I'm asking for your help. And if you're also a newbie and don't see some posted in this list, please add to it. Maybe we can then post an unabridged SMF ( :) ) acronym glossary.

Here are the ones I know:

AS -- After shave
B&B -- Badger & Blade
BBS -- Baby Butt Smooth (finally figured this out)
DE -- Double edge
M3 -- Mach 3
PM -- Private message
SMF -- Shave My Face
T&H -- Truefitt & Hill
USD -- U.S. dollars

And these are the ones I can't figure out (some are brand and products and businesses; others are acronym shorthand):

HMW
NWC (as in NWC injector)
QED
SAD
SOTD
SRP
SWMBO

Hi;

MAD - Multiple Acquisition Disorder. A complication of RAD (Razor Acquisition Disorder), BAD (Brush Acquisition Disorder), SCAD (Shaving Cream Acquisition Disorder), etc. No known cure, but can be somewhat controlled by appropriate counseling. See: Gordon

There has been some confusion about SOTD-- it has been "Scent of the Day" in the past, which is why the postings are listed under the Cologne/Aftershave forum.

BBS has been interpreted as either "Baby Butt Smooth", or "Baby Butt Shave". I've never heard is defined as "Bare Butt Smooth" (depends on what butt one is referring to as a reference). I sometimes will say BBF, meaning I have Baby Butt Face, which seems apt under some ocassions...

Now see, there may be a reason we go with Baby's Butt Smooth. Their buts are usually hairless. For some, that is not at all the case, hence I would not think anyone would want their face to be as hairless as the average adult male bare bottom....

Is that because you got a smooth shave or because your face is all diaper rashy, red and irritated? :D
