Gambling for shaving supplies...

Post by Johnnie »

The other day I was talking to Vince, telling him that I wanted to get a new shaving brush. I was also telling him that I didn't want to spend more than $80. Vince is really big into Texas Hold'em Poker. He suggested that I give him $100 and he guaranteed that he would win $100. So basically I would get back the $100 that I gave him plus the $100 that he won. So I would end up keeping my original $100 and I would be able to spend the other $100 (free money) on my new brush. Since I really trust him We went ahead and went to our local Indian Casino. I understand poker, so I know it is hard to lose money if you are conservative and he planned on being conservative and patient.

We were there for about 4 hours. While Vince was gambling with my money I went and played the "Wheel of Fortune" slot machine. I won $50 in about 10 minutes, while Vince was down about $30 at that point. Vince changed tables and his luck turned. He finally went up about $85, so we only needed to $15 more dollars to hit our goal. Well, it's called gambling for a reason. When he cashed out he had only won about $30. So with my $50 that I won in 10 minutes and Vince's $30 he won in 4 hours we ended up profiting about $80 for the night minus food, so we are actually up about $60.

It was a fun experience and we are not done yet. We plan on going back to win some more money. I never thought I would EVER be gambling my own money for shaving supplies. OMG, you guys have created a monster.

Gambling for a new brush. What a great idea...if he wins.

I figure if we gamble once a month and DO NOT lose money we can purchase shaving supplies every month for free!

Johnnie,

I can do more if you give me around $500 and allow me to play some high limit hold em next time! :-P

You can't do much damage playing 2-4 hold em. Conversely, you can't break your own bank either....haha.

I'm sure we'll do better next time. Don't worry I have a system!

Vince,

Is this a new system or the same system that you used last time. I recall you were playing 3-6 hold 'em and had to change tables because you were down. Hehe. So we can just stay at the 2-4 table for now. Atleast you profitted from the 2-4 table.

It is all in fun and hopefully your NEW SYSTEM will work this time.
