Talc - Provide Any Benefits to Shaving?

Post by Boyextraordinare »

I know it absorbs excess moisture very effectively, prevents chaffing and generally carries with it fragrance.

That said, I've heard it discussed on this board so much I'm wondering if it provides any shave-related benefits?

Yes - talc can be used to soothe and 'hide' irritation as the colour of it helps reduce the redness.

As Gareth said, it can be used as a post shave masking agent but most gents use it after a shower to give their undercarriage a bit of a how's-your-father.
