smf get together

has the forum ever discussed having a little get together? it would be nice to meet and put a face to the names. maybe a vendor could show up with some samples or flea market stuff. is this a geeky idea?

I say we have it on at either Trumper's or Taylor's.

Gil, its a great idea but may be difficult to make happen...unless it is done regionally. Definitely not a geeky idea.

Yes, very geeky, I'm afraid. And also yes, it has been kicked around before...several times. Never went beyond the idle fantasy stage however. Interesting in person chats between two or three members has happened many times of course.

I suggest that anyone wishing to organize a regional get together start an individual thread in the gentleman's parlor. I will post "NYC Get together." I am very new to D/E wet shaving, and if a more seasoned hobbyist could reccomend a trip to store that cater's to our interest; then lunch afterwards?
