Love the Acronym!

The upper LH corner has never looked better... The SMF has a somewhat understated, yet 'jazzy' appeal to it. All in all, classy I say.

The former just seemed institutional.

Bravo!

Actually, I gotta say that it doesn't resonate with me for some reason. I dunno - I kinda liked the institutional approach of the old header.

Not that a logo would make me loose interest in wet shaving, I'm just saying ...... :D

I'm happy not having to log back on, postings failing to load, slow speeds on a slow dial up computer etc etc. In short, the SMF wheels aren't falling off and you guys are looking at the crome trim.

I like it too. Something I don't have to really "hide" at work.

What's different? Everything looks the same to me... maybe because of my poor observation skills...

Andrew, the masthead in the upper left-hand corner is merely SMF, as opposed to "Shave My Face".

I love the new server, but have to agree with Wendell--the font is a bit too Snoopy/Comic Sans for me.

Agreed, and the font looks less staid, more enthusiastic.

It speaks volumes and yet says nothing.
It is deafening in it's silence.
It is fresh and new and yet comfortable and worn.
It has many colours in it's single blueness.
It is, as it was and yet.......

Hey! I bet an advertising agency would have charged a client buku bucks to design such a radical logo change.

Just for the record - my lack of resonance was around the new logo, not the much improved performance, which is marvelous.

I have to admit SMF looks less weird than Shave My Face to "outsiders" who balk at our pastime.

In the past I've had someone at work come up behind me and comment "MyFace? Is that like MySpace or something?"

LOL this is the best response yet!!!

Honestly, I designed the new header logo in about 2 minutes. While I think the enthusiasm in these small things is awesome, please don't read too much into them hahaha.

I only made the change so I can keep the forum page up on my screen at work without attracting too much attention :D

You guys use company time to post on SMF!? I'm shocked! Shocked, I tell you! And appalled. Yeah, shocked and appalled and...and disgusted, that's what I am. Shocked and appalled and disgusted!

Really, though, what Dominic posted above is the nicest thing people have asked me about ShaveMyFace. I think this header will help me avoid occasionally awkward questions quite nicely.
