I once read the story of a Japanese martial arts master who kept himself dry in a rainstorm by using his sword to throw aside each raindrop. The Manitoban shaving master who slices the heads off thousands of mosquitoes with a 6/8 full-hollow can't be far behind.

Or maybe we should all just chip in and buy Ravi an extra-large bottle of Penhaligon's new "eau de DEET" cologne.

Ravi - Glad to see you're doing this job.

So you're saying Ravi is within us and around us, and we need to unleash the Ravi within, and create a Ravi world that enables us all to be more Ravi?

That's a pretty Ravi idea, man.

Work towards the universal Ravi.

(Of course, now Ravi has the ultimate power to delete this nonsense. . .)
Give us the luxuries, and we will forgo the necessities.
Give a man a fire, he'll be warm for a day.
Set a man on fire, he'll be toasty for the rest of his life.

Well, not exactly. :) But it's a great idea anyway.
Yours is more like "Être ravi d'être Ravi". Or... sort of making him our Ravi d'être, if you prefer.

Welcome back! Nice to have you back in the fold.....

How did you guys learn it? :-k

Ravi used to be a moderator, and took a leave of absence, and has now returned. He's the gent known as Blue as a Jewel, and uses Capt. Jack Sparrow as an avatar these days. He is going to be encouraged in his new found straight razor enthusiasm by moderating that particular forum (oh yes, your admin has a cruel sense of humour...) This time of year he is thawed out, but is likely to blow away at short notice, given the nature of the Winnipeg climate. Welcome him back whilst ye may!

Chris
Congratulations on your return to office Ravi! Go easy on us, we're doing the best we can with what we've got here. With your newly granted responsibility for the straight razor forum, you'll be walking in the footprints of a legend! Personally, I think that forum's got some real potential for becoming a center of great interest and popularity.

I hope we still see you in the other forums too, as I enjoy your brand of humor.
