Lavanda is a Portuguese shave cream that has gone out of production, was reported to be quite good. It appears that Shaveabuck found a case and is selling it off.

I also noticed on their web site that he carries Rasoline which is a very good French brushless cream. So as usual I passed on the Lavanda and ordered the Rasoline which I know is still in production.
Good shaving,

I couldn't say, Lavanda has been described as a lavender version of Musgo Real and was made by the same company in Portugal by the soap company Claus Porto. I enjoy MR and for a brief moment thought that Lavanda had returned to the market.

My order of Lavanda posted Wednesday so perhaps will arrive this afternoon. The P160 (as well as samples of Italian & Spanish Floid) arrived yesterday, so they get first go. I hope that the Lavanda is not formulated like the Musgo Real which my face did not like, the sample promptly got binned.

I have been on a campaign to avoid goods from some countries and buying as much as possible of stuff made in the USA, Canada, and the EU. Been getting clothing, hats, and razor blades from these places. We need the international economy boosted! 8)

Wendell...

I really think you'll like the Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel. I've been using this variety exclusively for about a month now, and have found nothing better (the rose and lavender flavors are nice too). You've sparked me into a small spending frenzie, so I'll be ordering a few goodies soon.

Best to you sir,
- Troy

The lemon WH was only 5.99 at Vintage Blades. I haven't used WH in years -- so I figured, hey - why not? It's a small price to pay in an attempt to cure AD.

I reach for a bottle of Thayers after just about every shave. Despite a passion for a few other after shaves Thayers just works - hope you find it the same Wendell.

Cheers!

I've been spending on stuff too.

My last order had some basics that you guys have all tried but I hadn't and was actually embarrassed that I hadn't in my single year of DE shaving. Well I just started with MWF soap and Proraso Cream. About the most basic things in the world right? So far the Proraso is easy peasy as you would expect but the MWF I don't think I'm getting just the right consitency.

I'm up to 6 or 7 hard soaps and 4 creams. It's probably a lifetime supply but what the heck. Why stop now?

Tom, it may be that your water is too hard to yield a good lather. Is it the same story with your non-lanolin soaps? Many people recommend using distilled water; it will certainly work! :)
