Sue was a great friend to the wet shaving community and was always ready to satisfy her customer's needs.

I had one particular shave cream that she no longer sold on the site but when I asked her about it she so kindly said she would make a batch for me. True to her word she came through a month later when I reorders the cream.

She will be sadly missed. My condolences go out to her daughter Wendy.

I remember when the Goldfather, Tony, was telling us he had been talking with a lady that was making batches of shave cream and colognes and how Sue was so accomodating. She was one of the first before all the artisinal soaps and creams, not that there were none out there, but it was not as widespread as it is now. I know that death is a part of life, and I remember when Sue's husband passed, but when people like Sue passes, it seems as thought a piece of the world is missing, and the sun is not as bright as it was.

My condolences to her family and friends. As others have noted, Sue was a great friend of the wetshaving community. I fondly recall that hers were some of the first artisinal shaving products I tried. She will be missed.

Very sorry to hear that. Always enjoyed talking to her and as others have mentioned - a class act.

Even when you're expecting news like this, when you hear it, it is no less easy to process.

Sue was one of a kind and she set a good example of what a truly good person is.

Terrible news; considering how fast the cancer apparently spread (from reading the thread on B&B).

I hope the family finds solace in the fact that Sue was loved by so many who didn't personally know her.

Wow. *removes 2x4 from face*

Like others here, I enjoyed Sue's shaving cream, her interest in her craft and customers, and her presence on these boards. She will be missed.

Thanks to Mark The Shoe Shine Boy and Andrew I was able to talk to Sue and her daughter Wendy last Sunday. The last thing she told me was that her soap making helped her to make so many friends. Sue considered every customer a new friend. She was a class act and first class citizen. Her daughter Wendy told me she will try to keep St. Charles Shave going because Sue wanted it that way.
