I would actually prefer one of the old brass and leather barber chairs to that one. The last one I saw around here went for 3 large, and the leather needed replacing. I'd still like one of the brass/leather ones though.

It's only that expensive because it was in a movie. I think the leather and metal ones are much cooler.

There was a hunting/fishing camp on Cranberry Lake, NY that had a similar chair on the dock of all places. IIRC that one was probably a dentists chair as it had a head rest which wouldn't do for a barber chair.

Anyways it was pretty comfortable to sit in to have lunch while taking a break from fishing. (I knew the camp owners).

That's great. On Vashon Island, WA, there was a tiny family-run general store that had a half dozen old bicycles on the gravel beach out front, mounted on stands with the wheels off the ground, and you could sit on one and pedal lazily while gazing out at the water and boats.

That is pretty cool looking, and yeah, one that wasn't from a movie set would be less pricey.
