Welcome to SMF!

I certainly relate to the aural feedback. Shaving definitely engages all the senses. Also, I find I do not get as good a shave with interuption.

I have yet to make any razor assesmbly mistakes, but there is still plenty of opportunity.

I just had to register and join in when I saw this one!

I went into the bathroom and checked for spy cameras!

I did the upside down EJDE89. Agree with Squire - How'd you get any shaving done that way. I couldn't.
I did the loose top (and wondered what the funny noise on the blade was).

Also funny is that I was shaving the other morning and my wife came in and started using the hair dryer.

Have you ever tried to shave where you can't hear what the blade is doing?

I didn't realise how much I relied on aural feedback!

Anyway cheers and thanks all for all the snippets you contribute.
Welcome, Alan! Glad to have you join us.

I read the sounds that come from my razor, too, and I rely on that feedback.

Twist To Open also means Twist To CLOSE!!! All the way CLOSED! Yeah, that one let my blood pressure down a bit.

While I've never done that particular thing, I did once use a Flairtip Superspeed that I didn't fully tighten down. Ironically the shave was pretty good till I got to the atg pass, at which point it was much too harsh, and I checked the razor and realized my Error.

I've not done that myself, but you're not the first person that I've heard of doi it, and I doubt you'll be the last.

Not long ago, over on TSR, we had a chap complain that he was having a hell of a job lathering his soap.

It transpired that he still had the shrink wrap on it!!
