1972. And my dad used to look at me that way, but it was because of my hippie beard rather than a razor.

Wow! Great photo, great ad. I don't actually remember seeing it at the time....I was somewhat...er....pre-occupied during that period of my life, but the ad copy is excellent and not untrue. Great find.

I, too, remember the time but not the ad. In 1972, I was a university student, had shoulder-length hair, and grew a beard. (I still have the beard, but I shave my neck and shape the beard at the cheeks.)

The Type L Injector is what I learned to shave with, around 1967, and which I used until 1972 when I grew the beard.

Actually, I do remember that ad and yes, that is a model L back in the heyday of the Injector. Long live the "brotherhood"!
