Homemade Razor/Brush Display Stand

Post by LookingGlass »

I recently finished this shave stand and want to share the picture of it. It is walnut with a Teak Oil finish. It is the first one built this large and I want to make some tweaks on the next one. Perhaps a few more hanging brush slots. Maybe round the corners. It is nice to display my vintage Gillettes plus one lonely Schick Krona as well as my brush collection.

Thanks,
Ed

Ed,

Congratulations, what outstanding workmanship.

I'm very envious. I just wish I had room for such a lovely cabinet.

Enjoy your shave friend.

Thanks for the kind words. :D :D

I am hoping it will be my AD blocker ( ).

I am getting ready to retire in a couple of weeks so I'll have more time to devote to the wood; picked up about 8 board feet of Honduran Mahogany this week. Looking to build some jewelery boxes as well as some single and double shave stands. I am not sure of the rules here, but I am looking at getting a Virginia small business license and trying to market some of the shave stands. Just gotta take my time and see how it goes.

Take care,
Ed

Hey Ed, congrats on the upcoming retirement! It sounds as if you're going to be happily engaged in other projects, and that's wonderful. Love the new wooden rack, btw!

47 thumbs up to that!

very nice craftsmanship....I wish i knew how to do that.

When i first joined smf 'trumperman' built a razor stand for me which looks similar to yours albeit much smaller. I only mention it because I think lots of gents would pay to have you make stands etc for them; all this to say dont take to long getting your business license
