Thought I'd offer a quick "What-ho!"

Post by kd7kip »

Greetings and happy shaves to you all gentlemen!

I've been away from the forum for some years (I think I last posted around 2009). Those few who might remember me may recall I purposely disconnected from the Internet at home and it's been rather blissful. However, as my numerous children have aged, and distributed themselves between elementary, middle and high schools, I found they needed the Internet for schoolwork so I've reluctantly rejoined the 21st century.

Also, if truth be told, my shaves recently have become rather... dull. Oh, I'm still using fine products: Trumper's cremes and hair tonics, Proraso, DR Harris and such. But it has all become routine. Since I've been living off my stockpile, I've not purchased any products in some time.

Imagine my surprise returning to the forum and reading of all the developments! New scents from Musgo Real! Great offering from DR Harris (though I remain bitter about the loss of the Original Pick-Me-Up. (Sadly, it doesn't appear Geo. F. Trumper's has gotten their act together and stopped using plastic bottles for EDC and hair tonics.)

Nevertheless, so many things to blow my mortgage payments on, I can't wait to rack up the Visa. So cheers gentlemen, and special greetings to Trumperman, Gordon, Bargepole & Dr Moss-- all of whom were particularly helpful to me in my formative shaving days.

YMMV,

-Scott

+3 --- glad to see you back.

I admire your disconnecting from the world but have to admit that I'd do without cable TV and a land telephone line long before I'd go without an internet connection.

Scott I hope you will continue to post. In your absence I've enjoyed reading several of your earlier comments.

You actually went OFFLINE?

That's heroic. How?

I have a thing unironically called "Freedom". You say "Block teh Interwebz for <x> minutes" --- anything up to 8 hours -- and it does. You can beg. You can plead. But it is remorseless.

I have been too weak-willed to try it so far.

Welcome back!
Michael
