Scuttle
Scuttle
Hi,
For long time I am not satisfy with my shaving mug. Lather does go cold quick.
I researched the are bit wider and to my attention came your own Moss Scuttle and Dirty Bird 1.6 web one.
Now I would like to know your opinion which one I should try first?( First one will be bought feb/march and second sep, oct) as I like both^^
Also I never use scuttle and the thread here on forum showing how to use have the pictures expired but I assume when it arrives I will handle.
Thanks Guys as always.

I've used a Moss Scuttle for the last 5 years and wouldn't do without it. What I do is fill the scuttle with hot tap water and soak it in the bathroom sink, filled with hot tap water, along with my shaving brush, whilst I shower. Once I'm out of the shower and dried I drain the sink, empty the scuttle and refill it with hot water from the tap. I find the scuttle stays warm and keeps my brush warm for the 15-20 minutes it takes me to shave. Lovely, lovely!
One question I have is, what does it cost to ship the scuttle from Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia, to where you are in the UK?

i pitch julies Dirtybird scuttle,
for a few reasons, and they are just personal.
at the time when i decided i wanted to add a scuttle to my shave routine i seached three or for places that were popular scuttle makers.
i also PM'd members that had used at least two different scuttles.
the dirtybird design was appealing to me and was the most liked by others
so it was a no brainer for me
since that time i have never even had a thought to try any other scuttle
and ive been so happy with mine

I've never used one, but I like the looks of the all cream one offered by Georgetown Pottery. The Dirtybird ones, have a very appealing 'rustic' sort of look, that I kind of like also! Tough choice for me based on those two. I would go with the one that worked the best I reckon. Good luck with your choice Jack!

I also did research and surveyed members for their advice. I bought the Brush Scuttle from Dirty Bird. It's designed for face latherers and works great. Also bought my son-in-law one. YMMV and to each his own.

Re: Scuttle
I ordered my Moss Scuttle from Sara, and it arrived yesterday.
I used it for the first time this morning.
This morning was my best shave ever, the lather was absolutely perfect, it remain warm and moist for the entire 30 minutes I spent in the washroom.
To say the Moss Scuttle by Sara Bonnyman is the best scuttle on the market today would do a disservice to others striving to do the same.
I will say Sara takes additional precautions in packing her creations thus ensuring her product will reach the far corners of the globe intact in spite of the efforts to the contrary during transit.
Thank You Sara
