Thanks Chris. I want to go there! I'm assuming you're somewhat of a regular customer?

Now that's a barbershop with great history in a wonderful city just down the the road from my favorite place in the world, Lake Orta.

I have a pot of their soft shaving soap and it is simply one of the best shaving products that I have ever used.
Best,
Chris

From Chris Fisher- he had it on the BST. I have the address for the company on the label and will get it to you. Also, you have a PM.
Best,
Chris

Not a clue of what was said, but I really enjoyed the video. The Barber Shop was prestine. I would loved to have seen someone receiving a shave and a haircut because I didn't see one electrical set of trimmers.

Good Job.

I've been to Barbieria Colla a dozen or so times over the last 15 years. There isn't an electric clipper in the place. It's all scissor/comb in terms of cutting and their wet shave is the best "barber" shave I've ever had (better than Trumper, T&H, etc). They now have a webstore and sell some of their products globally though shipping from Italy is, as always, ridiculously expensive. http://www.anticabarbieriacolla.it/en/

Franco's daughter Francesca runs the product co and she can be reached at info@anticabarbieriacolla.it. The shave soap isn't on the web store but if you ask they'll sell you some. They make it themselves.

I e-mailed the shop inquiring about the shave cream. Here is the response I got back.

The short story... it's available and they can handle a soap order, it's incredibly expensive, I'm guessing the product will be something like Cella, or 3P in that it requires packaging by the individual. No big deal.

Francescas English is a lot better than my Italian.

Dear Costumer,
unfotunately we haven't got pack of shave soap to sell one by one,
as you can see on our website: http://www.anticabarbieriacollashop.com/

the only think I can do is giving you a 1 kg of shaving soap but you have ti find a suitable cointaner to use it with the shaving brush.

The price is 50 euros and the shipping price to usa is around 35 euros,

since we do not sell it online, we must do this payment throw the barber shop,
so I need an order e-mail at this adress:
info@anticabarbieriacolla.it

the payment on paypal with this account:
francesca.bompieri@anticabarbieriacolla.it

I need to check the payment, i will send you the receipt
and we will get the goods in 10 ten days more or less.

Let me know

Ummm! The euro is down right now making this sort of attractive even with the shipping cost. I will start the ball rolling and take a 100gr chunk for the kilo plus shipping.

I am currently on a roll with Valobra Almond and really getting to love these Italian soft soaps all over again.

Come on guys, nine more to order a kilo.
Good shaving,

I'm in! (I think.) Please tell me this is not yet another almond scented soap!

PS: Gary, I have to say the 3P veggie Italian soap currently sold only by Connaught and Shaving.ie is an excellent soap and does have a nice version of the standard almond fragrance. Connaught sells it in huge 125g samples at a very fair price.

I have not tried 3P but I have used Cella, P.160 and now Valobra Almond and have recently considered buying the kilo block of Cella. This might be a nice opportunity to try something special that is not commonly available. In all likely hood, this is probably made by one of the common soapers in Italy.

Okay so 200 gr. are spoken for, 800 gr. to go...anyone!
