Is it OK to tell others about the new site?

There is a recent thread on another forum discussing the fact that others wanted to join but couldn't. Has that issue also been solved? I have no idea what it's called... where one sees screwy graphic letters/numbers and one inputs it (capcha? Is that it?)

The problem is now solved (I hope) and you can invite others over. They can register and will be approved by an admin after a short delay - we gat an e-mail and have to log in and approve them.

Something I really like about the new site is the option to save a post in draft --- I don't recall that being available on the old forum. Onwards and upwards, gents!

Do we still have our galleries on the new site? I can't locate them.

We're also getting spammed.

I know. I'm getting half a dozen e-mails an hour of new accounts made, not by bots, but by human spammers (they have solved the captcha). I'm deleting anyone from China, Russia or the Ukraine. Sorry, but there it is. One looked normal and I let him in and he spammed. He's deleted now.

Thanks guys, glad to be on the new site!

Trying a new Q&A captcha. Apparently our graphic of various letters and numbers has been compromised and there bots that can solve it. It's now a question and answer of the "which one of these does not belong"' type. There are 4 brushmakers and one razor maker in the list. Figure out the rest or join some other forum!

Congratulations this new site is very nice and easy to navigate.

Don't know yet about the gallery. It runs on very old software. Vince may decide to lock it and keep it as an archive the images remain in old posts. Until we know what to do, please experiment with the Upload Attachment tab below your posting window. If an image is over 800 pixels wide it will show part of it with scrollbars, but by clicking on that it expands while viewing. Use common sense about image pixel dimensions and size in KB.

They aren't lost, just misplaced. All of his posts are here but in cases where he linked to them from other posts, those links are now broken due to the change in forum URL. They can all be fixed in due time.
