Angelo's in Scottsdale AZ

Post by Dixieman »

Happened to find this shop in a large shopping center. Very good shave with all fine traditions (hot towel, hot lather, cutthroat razor, etc.). Low key and relaxed, barbers very personable but don't talk your ear off unless you want them to. http://www.yelp.com/biz/angelos-hair-st ... ottsdale-2. Great shave; $25 plus tip.

Another reason to head over to one of my favorite states! Thanks for the tip.

Wow!...are you saying that they use real stropped cutthroat razors and not the kind with disposable blades? If so, this IS a rare find. The only shop that I think does so in the US is in Elizabeth Street in Manhattan ( sadly I've not been able to get there but the shop has been discussed here at SMF ).
