Re: Acquisitions thread
I just got some vintage Gillette 'Swedes.' I'm not sure just why I bought them, because I already had plenty of Wilkinson Light Brigades. Oh, well.

David a beautiful brush is a joy forever.
Oh c'mon John, one never turns down a shot at good blades. The only time that could accurately be said of me is the day after my obituary.

I just got these adjustable doll display stands, which I think will work well for hanging my larger brushes after use. Less than $9 for the two stands.

Re: Acquisitions thread
Well, this stuff is worthless. I hand lathered some and was unable to produce any lather at all. So I tried lathering on my face, with the same result. And when I just applied it by hand, it provided no cushion whatsoever and very little glide for the razor.churchilllafemme wrote:Today I got some African Black Shave Butter Crème, which I'm curious to try.

Re: Acquisitions thread
Nice brush. I just received a similar one, but in coral, through participating in the TSR 2015 Xmas LE. I was a bit sceptical about the brush due to the size of the knot (26mm) and low loft (50mm), but after using it for the first time this morning I'm astounded by how good it feels and performs. I don't think I've come across a knot quite like the shavemac 2-band silvertip; in a word, it's sublime.churchilllafemme wrote:I just got a custom blue marble Shavemac in 2-band Silvertip.
