Acquisitions thread

Post by Dr Dulcamara »

I start this thread, because I do not know where to post this.

My LEA Classic goodies. From Gifts&Care, probably one of the best vendors in our shaving world (just probably...)

I have tried the soap for one month before it was on sale and it is a winner!

Just bought a tube of T&H Ultimate Comfort Shave Cream and two bottles of Thayers Witch Hazel Aftershave. Noticed that Merz has added a few new items to their assortment. I am truly becoming much more selective in my buying and preferences lately.
Good shaving,

Picked up a small jar of Proraso White Pre Shave and White Canned Shave Cream yesterday in my travels around the city.

I have used the green version of the pre shave but wanted to have something with a bit less of the menthol blast, the white definitely tones it down quite a bit. The canned shave cream was just a passing fancy to go along as I generally like to keep things suited in my shaving collection.
Good shaving,

Hello guys.

Another great meeting today to lunch in Barcelona, with a boy from Geneva, my friend Luminoso, and his bodyguards, ha ha. In a beach club. Very pretty women in bikinis around us. Wonderful people. Great day. Exchange of gifts. Pitralon by Myrsol, and also something old with hair. A great show around. The waitress said there seemed to be a meeting of tupper-sex, with 30 or 40 badgers, and we, stroking the hair. Total spectacle, beers and shaving brushes in the table. No pictures of the members, it is the mafia, you know.

A friend gifted me this thing, but I do not deserve it. Thank you!
The knot is very soft. I'll preserve it. It is in very good condition.

Two pucks of De Verguld Hand soap- nothing novel, but a very nice soap at a good price down in Bonaire. It sells for about $3.60 per puck (75 g).
Best,

I've been lucky enough to purchase this handle to a fellow of a spanish forum. Rafael only made two prototypes of Red Kong, and two more of Red Kong DeLuxe, and I could get it from the hands of its owner. It is a handle that Rafel does not want to make more due to technical problems, at the moment, so I'm lucky to be able to treasure it. The Red Kong has two knurling passes, and the Red Kong DeLuxe, has three. I had thought to offer it to any of the friends who regularly ask me for it, but I can not part with this beauty. I'll keep it in my shaving arsenal. I have used it with the golden Fatip, and it is wonderful. This old blade BIC and this great brush with 30mm Finest knot, have made the most excellent soap from Manuel, and Swiss Pitralon finished off the job brilliantly.
