Rubbing alcohol and a few drops of tea tree oil and grapefruit seed extract should kill almost any pathogen.

I use barbicide for all my brushes and razors.
For cleaning plated razors I use an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner, its very gentle.

I use a small glass jar of alcohol. I mix in a few drops of tea tree oil and a few drops of grapefruit seed oil,i.
I think that combo can kill almost anything except for the prions from mad cow.
