Friends and fellow wet shavers; it’s time for a get together of the Greater Pacific Northwest wet shave enthusiasts!


The 2nd Annual Seattle Shave Convention is happening Sept 19th at Fados Irish Pub. We are trying to get together fellow wet shavers from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Northern California, and Western Canada. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to attend. Last years event was a lot of fun and think we can step it up a notch this year.


Join us Saturday, Sept 19th, at 11AM at FADOs Irish Pub. Fados’ features a full menu, full bar, and a great beer selection.

Join your friends for a fun filled, educational afternoon of all things related to razors and shaving, finally meet all of the people you have been chatting with online, and meet completely new shaving enthusiasts.


Some of the topics covered will be honing, stropping, maintenance of your equipment, restoration tips and tricks, loading a shaving brush, lathering a soap… you name it we will probably have someone there who can help.


Bring your razors, your brushes, your loom or whatever it is. If it's shave related we want to see it. Show it off or get a second opinion. Make us jealous.


Bringing friends who are interested in encouraged. You do not need to be part of a forum to attend. This is about bringing the community together, not creating differences. Selling and trading is allowed and encouraged.

Quick update on the Seattle shave meet. Location at Fado's has been confirmed so all good to go. Starting to spread the word and getting some positive feedback

Shot out some email to vendors about donations and have been very surprised at the number of vendors who have been willing to donate. Just shows what a great community this truly is! First confirmed batch of goodies for the raffle is from Captain's Choice!

Squire, if it's more convenient for you I did offer to have the Seattle meet in Maine. For some reason Matt thought I was joking. Maybe because I told him I was.

Matt, did you tell me that you would mention my donations on the various forums in these threads? I don't see it here. I don't intend to track it down elsewhere; I just assume that if it isn't here it is to be seen no where else either.

Too, I saw the twitter mention but only saw 1/2 of what I donated pictured. You did get the other half that was intended to be given away at the meet and was in the same box, yes? The intent was that all of the close to $100 worth of products that I sent was to be given away at the meet and pictured.

I'm a nice guy but you did say that you would do certain things to credit the folks who donated didn't you? Or did I misunderstand?

I have been posting on the various forums, please go and check. I have had some issues with the picture upload on SMF, and as such have not gotten the last few batches of donations up here. Please send me a PM or an Email if you have an issue.

Barring any issues I hope to have the SMF thread updated today.

Just got in the latest donation from Muhle Shaving. Quite the donation of shaving goods. Enough for a few sets and some other bits and bobs.

Incredible amount of wonderful shaving products, from all of the great vendors/manufacturers. I seriously wish I didn't live so far away! I hope you have an enormous turnout.

I tried to step it up a notch this year and have been plastering the meetup on all of the forums and facebook groups. We had 20 show up last year, and am shooting for 40 this year. Just had a local barber college tell me that some of them are coming as well
