Straight Razor Designs is defunct

Post by brothers »

Lynn and Don have closed their business. What's more confusing is that the related shaving forum that used to be called Straight Razor Place then Straight Razor Palace is now called Sharp Razor Palace. Does anybody know the details? This makes me feel sad. I don't like change!

All I know is that you get banned for asking.

Thanks for that link, Doc. Somehow, the term bellicose comes to mind. In the past I have honored them with my presence from time to time. I shall not trouble them further. 8)

Lynn's last post at SRP was in January 2018, and while his profile can be found by clicking on his name in his posts, his username isn't listed in the member list any more. Not looking good; hope he's OK and this is just yet another shaving forum revolution. Seen too many of those.

The plot thickens: the old straightrazorplace.com URL now redirects to https://straightrazordesigns.com/pages/ ... razorplace. Has the evil Luke Webster got hold of that domain as well?
I sent an enquiry to Lynn, but my e-mail address for him, sadly, is a few years old. I hope it works. Also, having little to lose, I'll post a polite enquiry at sharprazorplalace.com and see if I get an answer (or get banned).

This is a can of worms.

There are posts elsewhere on this but I suspect we'll never know the truth.

I wish Lynn all the best in his retirement. His straight razor video[1], along with The Art of the Straight Razor Shave, have helped me immensely.

Bill, I did get the full story, but it probably isn't meant for public circulation. Lynn may yet resurrect his straightrazorplace domain, but I wish him well in retirement.
