I frequent a barbecue site called AmazingRibs.com. It's run by a guy called Meathead Goldwyn. Anything you can think of is on the website. I was looking for a smoker a couple of years ago, and checked Meathead's recommendations. I was drawn to the Pit Barrel Cooker. I've had it a couple of years now and I really like the results.
It's a cooker and smoker kinda all in one. It's not the "low and slow" of a traditional smoker, and it's not exactly a grill.. I've done everything from prime rib to babybacks, pork loin to chuck roasts to chicken. It all comes out so very well.
I promise I'm not a shill for the company. I just find it to be a great cooker.
