Instapot

Post by Sam »

Well, never really much of one to even use a crock pot, maybe for roast in the winter and very rarely, a chicken recipe. Someone last week gave me an Instapot pressure-cooker and we did chicken in it for chicken tacos. Very, very fast. Someone also said you can take a frozen brisket and cook it in 50 minutes. Someone also uses the steam rack and will put in new potatoes, carrots and corn and let that steam during the time the brisket or roast is cooking, a true one pot meal.

So, any comments, recipes?

Sam, I have no experience with a pressure cooker. That said we do use our crock pot from time to time to make meals when time is pressed. We mostly use our Le Crueset oval pot over the crock pot for the same type meals.

We'll do beef bourguignon, chicken stew with dumplings, chicken fajitas, chicken stew etc.

It's a whole world of cooking that one can explore. My suggestion is to get books on the subject or even review youtube videos (there are so many) on it.

That's all I can really offer at the moment but hope it helps.
