Hot Cross Buns

They look shiny as they have just been painted with a sugar glaze and it hasn't dried yet:

I love Hot Cross Buns and yours look delicious. I’m too unskilled and perhaps lazy to bake my own so I buy them from Cobbs Bakery.

I was shopping in our local Italian bakery yesterday when lo and behold they wheeled a few trays of freshly baked hot cross buns. I scooped up half a dozen; boy, are they good.
