I was in a big hurry this morning and didn't have enough time to go through my usual shaving ritual so I decided to try my sample of AL shave cream. I put on a little King of Shaves pre-shave oil first to give the AL a fighting chance, then lathered up. The lather was adequate but not what I would call generous. I was able to shave quickly and, while not nearly as close as I usually get with the British creams, quite comfortably. The AL cream left a pleasant cooling sensation on my face.
Bottom line: while it's not the shaving experience I prefer, the AL shave cream is certainly a cut above the usual grocery store fare.
