Switched from a tube of cream to a tub - question?

Post by HAC »

Went to pick up some more Sienna, and the local c&E was out of tubes.. So, picked up a tub. looking at Mantic's lathering videos, tried the 3 second swirl with a shaken out brush.. Lathering went bery well, but here;s the question.. It looks as if that method will always leave a bit of water in with the cream, is this a problem? Should I scoop a tiny bit out into my lathering bowl instead?
What do you guys do?

Cheers and thanks

I generally end up with a bit of water left in the tub. No big deal, I just dump the water out before putting the lid back on.

- Use less water in your brush

OR

- Scoop cream out with a finger or a spoon or a stick

OR

- Don't worry, be happy

Harold,

I always swirl a little cream on the very tips of the brush when using a tub. Yes, a little bit of water is left, but I haven't noticed any change in consitancy in the cream from doing it this way. Actually, I think it might help the prevent the cream from dehydrating over time.

+ 1. I use one of the metal keys C&E sells with their shave cream tubes.

I swirl, but with a slightly damp brush. I get it on the face first, then start adding water to build the lather.
Best, Michael
